An adult paddling session is being held by Craig each Saturday morning at 8am. You can bring anything you like to paddle. There will be 10 surf skis available from the surf club.
Launch will be at 8am at Haven Circuit behind Big Brother Pizza. Will be about an hour to an hour and a half. Skis will be brought to location on the surf club trailer.
If you want to use a club ski or kayak please call Craig 0418 860 138 so he knows how many to load, or arrive at the club early to help load the trailer.
Camden Haven Triathlon
The kids triathlons are on Saturday 30 November at Pilot Beach. Start times are 1.10 for 11-13 years, 2.00 for 8-10 years and 2.20 for 6-7 years. Up to 10 years old the race consists of a swim/wade followed by a run. The older kids also do a bike leg.
It was fantastic to see a keen contingent of our nippers recently participating in the Ironkids Triathlons. It would be great to see all of our nippers kids participating in the Camden Haven Triathlon. This weekend is hosted by the Port Macquarie Triathlon Club who rendered us great assistance for this year's King of The Mountain. We are all looking forward to seeing our friends from PMTC again for a fun weekend. Registration details can be found atwww.portmactriclub.com.au
On Sunday 1 December the senior triathlon is on. Great to see our secretary - Rowena Bennett, treasurer - Susan Windsor and nippers mum - Cath Cook are flying the CHSLSC flag by competing in the Camden Haven Triathlon as a team. Our president Glen O'Brien and gear steward Craig Windsor intend to compete as individuals. It would be great to get a male team to compete on Sunday as well. Plenty of fit dad's have just completed their bronze so it shouldn't be too hard put together a team of men to take on Rowena, Susan and Cath.
Nippers Christmas Party
The Nippers Christmas Party will be held immediately following nippers on Sunday 8 December. Every family will be required to bring a plate. Rosie Model (Cohen & Noah's mum) has done plenty of work to ensure that we will have a great variety of junk food for the kids to party on. Rosie will be at the registration table on this Sunday with a list of food required for the party. Each nippers parent needs to see Rosie to have their pl ate/food items allocated for the party. Suggest that you get in early so that you get one of the easier dishes to prepare. Rosie also needs at least four Nippers parents to set up the party while the kids are doing Nippers on 8 December.
If you will not be at Nippers this weekend please call Rosie on 0405 512 568 to get your job allocated.
Stay safe. Looking forward to seeing you all on the beach soon.
Glen O'Brien - President
Unfortunately due to bad weather forecast we have decided to cancel this weekends nipper camping at Diamond Head. The camping ground is already wet and with more rain to come it would turn a fun and memorable experience into a wet and soggy one. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will see you all for nippers on Sunday 24th. We will also change our board paddling to that Friday the 22nd to bring it in line with our nipper Sunday weekend.
For any question you can phone Linda on 0428853983.
Congratulations to Shane Hoffman & Matt Model on becoming the first club members to complete their bronze medallion this season. It was great to see them both on the beach, patrolling and helping out with water safety at Nippers in the rain yesterday. Michelle Garvan's crew have almost completed their course which will give a club about 15 more qualified bronze medallion holders before Xmas.
Nippers families please change your calendars. The Nippers Xmas party will now be held on Sunday 8 December immediately following Nippers. We will still run a normal Nippers session on 22 December.
Club Xmas party is on Saturday 7 December. Hawaiian Night with plenty of fun. Look out for more information shortly.
The weather forecast for this weekend is a bit of a worry. We know our Nippers are tough and resilient but we wont be making them trudge through the mud a Diamond Head on the weekend. We will liaise with our friends from the WBH Nippers and make a decision on Thursday morning regarding the Nippers Camping Weekend. Check your emails and text messages on Thursday.
Great News !! We have been successful in obtaining a grant from Coastline Credit Union to obtain 10 new nippers soft boards and two new concertina fuel cells for our IRB's. The gear is already on order and should hit our beach soon. Thanks Coastline.
Please check out our website for information on our sponsors and supporters. It is pleasing that none or our current sponsors and supporters have formal sponsorship agreements with our club - they are local businesses who believe in surf life saving and support us and our kids. Please take some time to familiarise your self with who is supporting our club and keep this in mind when you are deciding which local businesses to spend your money at.
Well done everyone on a great start to the season. Its pleasing to see so many new and old members getting stuck in.
Stay safe. See you all on the beach soon.

Nippers will be on tomorrow - rain, hail or shine. Let's hope it rains - but we will still get in the water as long as the surf isn't dangerous, so bring Nippers dressed & ready for a swim.
At 4pm Sunday afternoon the monthly club meeting will be held. This meeting is open for all club members. We've got a lot going on, a lot coming up. Please come along to get involved. Kids are welcome.
